Katrina brings her extensive business experience to the table and will endeavour to engage local businesses to become more proactive members of our business community. SHARON STROM - PRESIDENT 

As the president of the Board of the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce; Sharon represents Teck Coal Limited as a Community Liaison. She will play an integral part in encouraging our local business owners to participate in Chamber events &/or committees in any way possible. Sharon is also very active in numerous other local committees and has enjoyed being a resident of Sparwood since 1992.

DAREN WOODSKE ~ VICE PRESIDENT

RUTH EMSLIE ~ TREASURER 

Ruth has owned the Sparwood Esso for 25 years and has been a member of the Chamber for 23 years and has also sat on the board for many years in a variety of positions.  She would like to see the Chamber encourage a positive attitude in the business community, by encouraging our businesses to spruce up their establishments and encourage the District of Sparwood to give a tax break for doing it.  A 38 year resident, she keeps busy with her golfing and curling activities.

MURIEL STICKNEY  ~ PAST PRESIDENT 

Muriel is a  licensed Life Success Consultant & Coach and has lived in Sparwood for 30+ years.  During that time, she sat on the Sparwood Council for 3 years  and  has been active in the business community. Muriel is an advocate of networking and promoting local businesses and as a small business owner, she understands the challenges of operating in a small community. As board member in her 3^rd  year, Muriel would like to see the public become more aware of the positive role of the Chamber plays within the community.

JOHN BAHER ~ DIRECTOR 

John has owned the A&W for the past eleven years.  John is in his 4^th decade of living in Sparwood and is also active with the Sparwood Lions Club.  This is John’s 2^nd time  sitting on the board and hopes to bring some new ideas forward.

TAMMIE DAVY ~ DIRECTOR

Tammie is a ReMax Realtor/Property Manager and has lived in Sparwood for four years.  This is her 2^nd year participating on the board. Tammie would like to assist in raising awareness in the business community;  by  having a positive network and  help businesses prosper.

NORMA McDOUGALL ~ DIRECTOR                                         

Norma owns/manages the ExpressMart/Sears Catalogue and enjoys promoting Partylite Candles in her spare time.  This is the 2^nd time that Norma has joined the board.  She has been an active resident of Sparwood for 30 years, including being a member of the Sparwood Gold Club/Ladies League and the curling club.

ALEX MILLAR ~ DIRECTOR

NICOLE SENYCZ ~ DIRECTOR

Nicole is also new to the board and represents BP Canada Energy Company. Over the past 3 years, she has been working with BP - Sparwood in a variety of administrative capacities and has enjoyed the challenge of this interesting project. Nicole has been active on both the Coal Miner Day's Society and the Futures Society. A graduate of the University of Alberta with a BA in Recreation Administration & Heritage Resources; Nicole spent over 4 years managing recreational activities in Fairmont Hot Springs prior to her return to Sparwood. 

MARJORIE TEMPLIN ~ DIRECTOR

Marjorie has been a Director since 2009 and represents Overwaitea Foods.
